Anubis
I wanted to let everyone know how much we appreciated all the help, patience
and kindness we received when adopting Anubis (right) and Avalon (left). We
came in every day for three days before finalizing our decision in July 2005.
"Welches" was the name of the eight-week old male lab mix we adopted,
now known as Anubis. He has SO much energy; it's sometimes hard to keep up with
him. He’s a character, I tell ya. He loves antagonizing his sister, especially
when they are playing outside. He will lay low to the ground, creeping slowly
and then pounce on her when he thinks she isn't looking. It's quite a sight!
They both seem to be enjoying their new home, and are playing with each other
just as siblings do. We even have to get after them occasionally. I'm not sure
what it is about youngsters and the "mine" game... but these two play
it regularly... especially with a stick or their chew sticks.
They are now sitting, laying and staying. They are doing very well... ok, pretty
well. Anubis seems to be taking to it a little better than Avalon. They are
also almost housebroken... what a task!
I must say we are VERY happy with our decision, and the service we received
from everyone we came into contact with at the shelter. Please, please keep
up the awesome work you are doing!
From
our family
(Alex, Joy, James, Michael, Avalon, and Anubis)
to yours...Thank You!!!
