Scout

We adopted Scout in October of 2005. I had wanted a puppy forever and now that I was finally done with school, I knew I actually had the time for one. One Sunday, we went to HHHS to look around and Scout was the first puppy we saw! She was so tiny, yet so playful - a whopping two pounds! We looked at all the other puppies but I went right back to her and knew she was what I wanted.
Scout is the best dog we could have asked for. She was so eager to learn and easy to train. She still thinks she’s a lap dog, even though she has quickly surpassed the 15 pound estimate we thought she would be! At almost nine months, she weighs in at 35 pounds and still insists on lying on my lap to chew her bone every night! She’s a snuggler at bedtime and is pretty good at keeping me warm at night. She likes to be carried like a baby on my hip!!
Scout runs with us every day and goes to Dog Day Afternoon daycare twice a week. She also loves going to the Bark Park on the weekends and visiting my parent’s farm. Every day we comment on how lucky we are to have her and how good of a dog she is.
We have been so happy with our adoption from HHHS and if we ever decide that Scout needs a playmate, we’ll definitely be back!
