Bone Appetit

Bone Appetit is our annual celebration of the unique bond between humans and animals. Since its inception in 2001, this event had been held during The AHA's, National Be Kind to Animals Week, observed during the first week in May. We have moved Bone Appetit to the first week of June and it will continue to be held that week.

Bone Appetit 2012 Cats and Canines of the Caribbean! June 2nd, 2012.

The live auction and pet parade are the highlight of Bone Appetit. The pet parade is composed of dogs available for adoption at HHHS strutting their stuff down the catwalk in the latest doggy couture. Outfits are bid on right off their backs. Each doggy outfit includes other items.

Items have included both KU and K-State autographed materials, a year’s supply of Science Diet dog food provided by Hill’s Pet Nutrition and various other items.

The live auction also offers the chance to have your pet be a star. We will be auctioning off the opportunity to have your dog become the spokesdog for our largest fundraiser, Paws in the Park.

Paws in the Park is the largest Topeka pet event! Your dog will be featured on Paws in the Park posters, brochures, commercial, the HHHS Web site, and the cover of the HHHS Pet Connections newsletter. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity.
