Helping Hands Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations are tax deductible. (Please consult your tax advisor.) Other than monies received through contractual agreements for animal services provided to the city and county, we are funded entirely by private donations. Your dollars do make a difference in the lives of homeless animals.

Caring for ever increasing numbers of animals puts a tremendous burden on our staff, facility and limited resources. Every donation is critical for us to carry out our mission to advocate for animal welfare and to provide compassionate care and protection for all animals that find their way to our shelter. We need the support of everyone in the community who is concerned about the well being of animals.

Thank you so much for your interest in making a difference to our many animals at Helping Hands. We have many different ways that you can donate.

MAIL DONATION:
You can mail your donation to HHHS today by sending a check or paying by credit card. Click here to print out the mail-in form.

CALL IN DONATION:
You can give us a call during normal business hours and one of our staff will be glad to assist you with your donation. They can mail you a donation envelope or take your credit card information over the phone. Our number is (785) 233-7325.

MATCHING GIFT:
Some of our corporate friends will match any gift that you make to a non-profit organization. Please check with your company to see if they have a matching gift program. We will be happy to provide them with information that they require to match your gift. It’s usually just a simple form!

MEMBERSHIP:
Once a year in December we launch our Membership drive and the funds that are raised enable us to continue serving the people and animals in the community. You can join at any time. Our single membership is only $15.00! Click here to join.

 

GIVE AN HONORARY GIFT:
Finding the right gift for a loved one can be a challenge. By honoring family or friends with a donation, you’ll know that it will be a perfect fit every time. A gift from the heart is truly a special offering. Think anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, pet sitters and thank-yous! We will send a letter to the honoree in recognition of your gift. GIVE A MEMORIAL GIFT:
A memorial gift is a thoughtful way to remember the people who have made a difference in your life. A gift from you helps acknowledge the importance of the loved one’s life. We will send a letter to the family of the deceased, notifying them of your kindness (not of the amount of your gift). The memorials will be listed in the next issue of our newsletter. PET TRIBUTE GIFT:
A pet tribute is for that special, loyal friend. Just because. It’s also a thoughtful way to remember a favorite pet that has passed on. Pet tributes will be listed in the next issue of our newsletter. Watch for other opportunities in our newsletter and on our website to honor your pet.

BUY A PLAQUE:
For a gift of $250, a plaque will be placed on a kennel in the shelter for one year acknowledging your generous gift. You can honor a loved one, companion animal or animal lover with a plaque.
