Can be Deadly for Pets
With summer in full swing,
please remember the safety of your pets when out in the hot sun. Dogs
and cats do not sweat like humans and are affected more quickly by high
temperatures and humidity.
It is never safe to leave
an animal unattended in a parked car, even with the windows down. The
temperature inside the vehicle can rise 20 degrees in just 10 minutes.
Temperatures may reach as high as 160 degrees with the windows rolled
up. Brain damage usually starts at about 106 degrees.
