In 2005, 205 volunteers donated more than 6,145 hours of service to the animals at Helping Hands Humane Society. This represents an increase of nearly 1,000 hours from the previous year and does not include the estimated 900-1,000 hours from the community during the flood evacuation on October 2, 2005. It also does not include the amount of hours that our foster families donate when they open not only their homes, but their hearts to our animals by taking them in until they are ready for adoption. Helping Hands is truly grateful to each and every one of our volunteers for their kindness and compassion.
