Why I Volunteer for HHHS
Trudy
and Frank Whitsell
“I
volunteer at HHHS simply because I love animals! I enjoy providing them
the attention they crave and deserve! I hope by my volunteering it provides
these WONDERFUL animals a better opportunity of being adopted to loving
homes.”
Janice Barton with Jones and Chantel
“As
a guardian of several dogs and a cat during my adult years, I learned
that animals are sentient beings. They experience love, pain, joy, disappointment
and an array of other emotions and feelings. All animals come into this
world innocent and are in part shaped by their environment. Some have
happy lives in good homes and others have stressed lives in not so good
homes. Of the stressed animals that come to the shelter, all need humane
care. Those not totally traumatized, who retain the core of their good
personality deserve the chance of a comfortable life in a new home.
My volunteering for the shelter enhances the probability that a greater
number of animals will have that opportunity.”
