HHHS provides
sanctuary for more than 10,000 lost, abandoned and abused animals each
year. These animals include dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, rabbits, guinea
pigs, ducks, goats, chickens, rats, snakes, reptiles, pot belly pigs
and turkeys. HHHS has an open door policy – no animal is turned
away. Funds are needed for daily animal care; adoption and education
programs; lost and found services; and facility maintenance and improvements.
HHHS has
an annual operating budget of almost a million dollars and currently
has a full time staff of 22 individuals. Our staff cares for the animals
seven days a week and 365 days of the year. In 2004, an average of 30
animals a day came through our doors.
